ADA Parking & Signs in Jonesboro, AR
Accessible stalls, access aisles, symbols and sign placement.

Accessible parking is one of the most visible parts of a lot, and one of the most common problems found when lots are checked. Faded symbols, missing access aisles or the wrong number of stalls are easy to fix during a restripe.
What gets marked
- Accessible stalls on the shortest accessible route to the entrance
- Striped access aisles beside each accessible stall
- Van-accessible stalls with wider aisles
- Accessibility symbol painted in the stall
- Posted signs, including "Van Accessible" where required
How many accessible stalls you need
The federal 2010 ADA Standards set the minimum number of accessible spaces by total lot size. Our ADA parking requirements guide has the full table. As a quick reference: a lot with 1 to 25 spaces needs at least 1 accessible space, and at least 1 of every 6 accessible spaces must be van accessible.
A note on compliance
A striping crew paints and signs what the standards and your local code require, but compliance can also depend on slopes, curb ramps and routes to the door. If you've received a complaint or are planning a major renovation, have an architect or accessibility specialist review the site.
Common questions
Does my church or small business need accessible parking?
If you provide parking for the public, accessible spaces are generally required. The count depends on your total number of spaces.
Can you add signs too?
Yes. Accessible parking signs, posts and van-accessible plaques can be included in the quote.
