Sealcoating in Jonesboro, AR
Protective sealer that blacks out asphalt and slows cracking and fading.

Arkansas sun and heavy summer rain dry asphalt out and open small cracks. Sealcoating puts a protective layer over the surface that blocks UV, water and oil, and restores the deep black color of new pavement.
What's included
- Cleaning: blowing off debris and treating oil spots
- Crack filling before sealing (see crack sealing)
- One or two coats of sealer, sprayed or squeegeed
- Barricades and cones while it cures
- Restriping once the sealer is dry
When to sealcoat
Most commercial lots benefit from sealcoating every two to three years. Good signs it's time: the asphalt has turned gray, small cracks are appearing, or water no longer beads on the surface. Sealing is done in warm, dry weather, so spring through early fall is the main season in Northeast Arkansas.
Sealcoating and striping together
Sealer covers the existing lines, so every sealcoat job is followed by striping. Booking both together means one schedule, one set of barricades and lines that pop against the fresh black surface.
Keeping the lot open
Large lots are usually sealed in sections so you never lose all your parking at once. Expect each section to stay closed for roughly a day while the sealer cures, depending on weather.
Common questions
Does sealcoating fix potholes?
No. Sealer protects good asphalt. Potholes and failed areas should be patched first, then sealed.
Is sealcoating worth it on an old lot?
If the base is still sound, yes. It is far cheaper than repaving. If large areas are crumbling, patching or an overlay may be the better first step.
